No Dice, Pinko!

Oh boy!  Yet ANOTHER news opinion article has come out with some Branch COVID-ian preaching a ‘mea culpa’ I-was-wrong-you-were-wrong-let’s-bury-the-hatchet spiel.  This one’s on Newsweek, written by a medical student named Kevin Bass.  You can read the article for yourself here:

https://www.newsweek.com/its-time-scientific-community-admit-we-were-wrong-about-coivd-it-cost-lives-opinion-1776630

And, as an aside, before I get any bellyaching or bullshit from people about how “I took the jab, but I didn’t have a choice”, THIS ISN’T ABOUT YOU.  I know there were people out there, hundreds of thousands, if not millions, who took the clot shot because you felt you didn’t have a choice.  My stance is and always has been: it’s none of my goddamn business.  You took the jab for your reasons, and while it sucks and it’s nothing short of a crime you were put in that position, as long as you didn’t clamor for your decisions to be imposed on people like me and my family (who didn’t get the clot shot), I got no beef with you.  That’s the beginning and the end of that.

Now, as for the article….

Something that has really pissed me off to the core, ever since the tide started turning on the scam-demic narrative, is how a lot of these establishment goons are speaking out now in what really is an effort to save face.  Bass, in his opinion piece, stated:

My motivation for writing this is simple: It’s clear to me that for public trust to be restored in science, scientists should publicly discuss what went right and what went wrong during the pandemic, and where we could have done better.

What utter fucking bullshit.  The fact of the matter is, had the narrative not collapsed when it did, people like Bass would STILL be going along with what the establishment wanted.  He, and everyone like him, would STILL be doing all the things he talks about being wrong for doing and more.  Bastards like this guy weren’t squeamish in the least at the idea of casting people like me away from society on a proverbial ‘ice floe’ because, at the heart of it, they were scared little bitches.  Scared of the ‘authority’ over them and scared of the boogeyman story they were told but were too stupid to see through.

Anyone think these assholes deserve amnesty or forgiveness?

I mean, what Bass is seriously glossing over is that a lot of these pro-vax assholes WANTED PEOPLE LIKE ME DEAD.  In the worst way.  We weren’t even human to them.  It’s no doubt that their own cowardice kept things from getting much worse than they did, as they didn’t have the balls to have a go at me and try to do the job themselves.  I have no doubts in my mind, based on the things said and the way many acted that they sure wish they had.  Given time, however, that would have certainly changed and action would have followed after the mob worked up sufficient ‘courage’.  The last century alone is littered with examples of how that works.

People like Bass need to be reminded, and should NEVER be allowed to forget, that the scam-demic didn’t end because people like him suddenly grew a conscience and a pair of balls.  It ended because it was built on a foundation of soggy bullshit to begin with and collapsed as a result.  So to that, I say “no, motherfucker…you don’t get to claim ANY moral high ground.  No victory laps for you.”.

Although nothing Bass says in this article about why people like he and the ‘scientific community’ were wrong  and about the damage the things they did caused (he actually doesn’t go far enough in my opinion), I don’t think he really, truly understands the sheer magnitude of what has happened as a result of what is, in my opinion, the establishment’s greed, cowardice, apathy, ambition, and avarice.

He talks about public trust being restored in science and the establishment.  Could this guy be any less self aware?  Has he not heard of ‘appealing to authority’?  It’s probably THE oldest logical fallacy there is.  In a nutshell, it’s basically some scumbag telling the masses ‘hey, let’s listen to that guy because he looks and acts important.  Surely, THIS GUY knows what he’s talking about’.

That’s precisely what this was.  Everyone who didn’t see this for what it was bought into the bullshit that the ‘approved’ people in the ‘scientific community’ was telling them BECAUSE it was specifically a bunch of over-educated assholes in labcoats that were saying it.

So now, people like Bass admits they were wrong.  Mea culpa, and all that.  So….what, do these people really think that we’re just gonna go back to the way things were?  I wonder if they’ve given ANY thought whatsoever to what, exactly, it would take for “public trust to be restored” in science or the establishment or any other party that went hog wild over the last two years and took every available opportunity to fuck over people who had more courage and integrity than they did?

Fact is, even before the scam-demic, there were many people out there who already mistrusted the establishment.  They didn’t trust the government.  They didn’t trust the corporations.  They didn’t trust the media.  I can’t stress it hard enough, these idiots were already on razor thin ice to begin with.  Now that it turns out these bastards were the lowest common denominator all along, thus verifying what the skeptical in society already knew,, do they really think they’re going to earn back the trust of people who barely trusted them to begin with?  To say nothing of the people who are vax injured or have been killed by the clot shot.  Does Bass not think that those people have friends and family whose ‘hearts and minds’ they’ve lost?  Yeah.  Good fucking luck getting those people to see you for something other than the greedy, scared little reptiles you truly are.

To fix this problem and restore public trust?  This is all he has to contribute:

Solving these problems in the long term requires a greater commitment to pluralism and tolerance in our institutions, including the inclusion of critical if unpopular voices.

Intellectual elitism, credentialism, and classism must end. Restoring trust in public health—and our democracy—depends on it.
Well, ain’t that just sweet.  Seems to me, this is STILL happening with another form of pseudo-science in the great ‘Global Warming/Climate Change’ scam.  That, too, has been completely politicized and a great deal of profits were and continue to be made by people pushing that particular narrative.

I don’t think Bass understands how the idea of ‘trust’ works.  Once it’s gone, it’s gone.  It ain’t coming back.  He can get up on what he thinks is his high horse and preach about how wrong he is, but it doesn’t matter.  The scam-demic has shown everyone ‘who’s who in the zoo’, so to speak.  We know who and what everything truly is and we’ve seen them for who and what they really are.  It’s really something you can’t un-see.

Maybe some of these people, like Bass, thought they were gonna be heroes when they got into science and they were gonna save lives.  But the true tests in life of what kind of person you are and what you’re made of ALWAYS come at times and from instances you don’t get to anticipate and prepare for. There aren’t any ‘do overs’ either.  You either are ‘that guy/gal’, or you ain’t, and that’s that.

Maybe it sucks, but that’s the way it is.  I didn’t make the damn rules.  People like Bass are just gonna have to learn to live with themselves, if they truly feel guilty about their part in this – and I think some of them very well may.  Regardless, there’s no way in hell that I, and likely most other people out there, are ever going to trust them again and that’s just too goddamn bad.
