Great Reset

Mark Figley: False alarm from earth worshippers – LimaOhio.com

Earth worshippers, AKA climate alarmists, are everywhere these days, and rarely does a day go by that doesn’t include clear evidence of the fact. Yet while the average person may give this little thought, the implications are clearly life-altering.

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon recently told shareholders that the U.S. government and big corporations may need to seize private property to promote climate goals. This is necessary since climate policy initiatives are not being implemented fast enough to save the planet. Wow!

In Dimon’s annual letter to shareholders, he stated that “eminent domain” may need to be utilized to acquire “adequate investments for grid, solar, wind and pipeline initiatives.” This permits government to take private property for public “good” after compensating the owner. It’s necessary, don’t you know, to prevent the occurrence of a climate-related disaster(s).

Time is of the essence in the words of Dimon, who added that the world must align together by making a massive investment in “clean energy technologies,” while providing affordable and reliable energy for today.

In a sign of things to come, the state of Tennessee has already used eminent domain in the seizure of 15 land tracts for the purpose of building connecting roads for a new electric truck plant to the interstate. To make things worse, the compensation offered has been vastly less than market value, undervaluing the land of other farmers in the process. Michigan has also begun to use eminent domain in the development of green energy.

Unfortunately, technology isn’t at a place where green energy can even begin to power our economy. America’s electric grid is increasingly insufficient as coal and natural gas are systematically eliminated. And unless the brakes are applied, rolling blackouts will become an increasing phenomenon for consumers everywhere. Then there’s that little-discussed topic called freedom, which means nothing to elitists like Dimon who yearn for a “Great Reset.”

Speaking of elitists, an article by Thomas Fazi for the publication Unherd details their plan in the Netherlands to establish a “great food reset.” According to a European Commission report, the government plans to buy out or terminate farms with the goal of reducing livestock. This would “first be on a voluntary basis, but mandatory buyout is not excluded if necessary.” Do they know Mr. Dimon?

Fazi further writes that the Netherlands, Europe’s largest exporter of meat second only to the U.S. in the world, would see its food exports collapse as a result of this hair-brained scheme. And the Netherlands is responsible for less than 0.4% of the world’s carbon dioxide when global food shortages already exist.

No farms, no food. But have no fear, why worry about a meatless diet when you can have a much healthier plant-based, lab-grown diet with a heavy concentration on insects? Care for some cricket casserole or grasshopper stew? Yum-yum! To this end, organizations like the United Nations environment program have gone on record in support of a 50% reduction in the consumption of meat and dairy products.

A vast array of food stakeholders is now dedicated to the “greening” of agriculture and food production. Our own Bill Gates, the single largest owner of farmland in the U.S., can be counted among them. Efforts to control and transform our farmland, here and around the world, threaten our freedom to ultimately decide what we will consume from our own kitchen tables.

While we are occupied by silly debates about the definition of what defines a man from a woman, the same evil elements who seek to distract us are planning even more sinister ways to control us, all the way down to what we eat.

The Wizard of Oz told Dorothy to “pay no attention to that man behind the curtain,” in an effort to conceal the truth of he who masqueraded as all-powerful and all-knowing to protect the people. Likewise, the modern-day climate alarmists similarly know what is best for the little people when all they truly desire is supreme wealth and power. At any cost.
