COVID Conspiracy Doctor Claimed He Was ‘Poisoned After Interview’ Just Days Before Death

British-born Doctor Rashid Buttar, a notorious anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist, died on Saturday, May 20 at the age of 57.

Buttar was part of the so-called “Disinformation dozen,” according to the Centre for Countermanding Digital Hate.

He had become a cult figure during the COVID-19 pandemic for his wild takes on the virus, claiming that the pandemic was “planned” and “politically motivated” and that anyone who had the vaccine would be dead by 2025.

The doctor was born in the United Kingdom but spent most of his adult life in the United States. He became known for his extreme views on vaccines.

According to the Centre for Countermanding Digital Hate, Buttar was responsible for producing 65% of all anti-vaccine content between 2020 and 2021.

Just days before his death, the doctor revealed he believed he had been poisoned. He claimed he had been given a “poison” containing “200 times of what was in the vaccine.”

He had also made bold and extreme claims about COVID-19 on CNN a year ago, such as likening U.S. medical expert Anthony Fauci to Adolf Hitler and claiming, “no-one had died from the virus.”

The reports of Buttar being poisoned are unconfirmed and the cause of his death has not been made public. It is also not known why he was in an intensive care unit.

Buttar had already been punished by local U.S. medical boards before the pandemic hit for his controversial approaches to treating autism and cancer. This included injecting a cancer patient with hydrogen peroxide, a bleaching agent normally used as an antiseptic, according to the Daily Star.

The doctor’s death has come as a surprise to many, and his name and legacy will be remembered within the anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theory community. It is unknown who he has left behind or what will happen to his property.
