Tennessee city in turmoil after assistant police chief exposed as QAnon believer
Millersville, a small city in Tennessee with a population of less than 10,000 people, found itself in turmoil recently after its newly hired assistant police chief was exposed as a believer in the QAnon conspiracy theory.
Local news station NewsChannel5 reports that Millersville Assistant Police Chief Shawn Taylor is facing the possibility of losing his job after the station revealed his past espousal of QAnon, the conspiracy theory that claims Hillary Clinton and other top officials in the Democratic Party secretly run a Satanic pedophile ring.
In addition to this, Taylor baselessly blames former Vice President Al Gore for the disappearance and death of 20-year-old Holly Bobo, a Tennessee resident who was murdered back in 2011.
The Millersville City Commission was supposed to hold a special meeting this week to review how Taylor was hired as their assistant police chief, but it was postponed after Todd Callender, the attorney representing Taylor, requested a delay.

“As such, I respectfully request you set this hearing back a couple of weeks to allow us time to do the work necessary to properly and effectively represent Mr. Taylor’s interests,” Callender wrote to the commission.
However, NewsChannel5 reports that Callender is also a believer in wild conspiracy theories.
Most prominently, Callender believes that 5G mobile data transfer technology is part of an insidious plot to kill the vast majority of the human population on Earth.
“We have been marked for extinction,” he said on a recent podcast reviewed by NewsChannel5. “People don’t seem to understand this.”
In another podcast, he baselessly claimed that the city of Wuhan, China became ground zero for COVID-19 because of 5G towers.
“Wuhan became the first 5G city,” he falsely claimed. “They turned on 10,000 5G transmitters — and lo and behold people are getting sick.”
And in addition to all this, Callender believes that the vaccines used to strengthen immunity to COVID-19 are responsible for spreading AIDS to the entire human population.
