The trolls and conspiracy theorists who have hijacked the search for Jay Slater
Successful search becoming ‘less and less’ likely as ‘unpredictable behaviour’ hampers efforts
Much has been made of Jay Slater’s movements last Monday after leaving a rave with two men.
After leaving their flat in the early hours of the morning, Jay walked in the opposite direction to the bus he needed to get.
He found himself in need of water, with his phone about to die, ‘in the middle of the mountains’ a 10-hour walk from his flat.
Where he went after his last call to his friend Lucy, and after his phone last pinged, is central to the search.
But the longer it continues, the less likely the chance of a ‘successful outcome’, journalist Gerard Couzens warned.
The ‘not entirely predictable’ behaviour, and the ‘very difficult terrain’, make that even harder, Couzens told GBNews.
‘We don’t know if after that call he stayed put or moved on’, Couzens said.
‘I’ve just spoken to the police, the search operation is continuing very much in the same way, it has now been going on for a week.
‘But there’s lots of places he could fall or have an accident.’
