Candace Owens Slammed By Right Over Deranged Conspiracy Theory About Jewish People
Candace Owens, once a prominent voice in black conservatism, ignited a firestorm of criticism from right-wing commentators and media personalities who condemned an antisemitic rant she aired on X.
During a live broadcast on Sunday, titled The Truth About Zionism, Owens implied that Jews were responsible for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and perpetuated other conspiracy theories and warned that criticizing Israel could result in being killed.
In the video, which has rapidly spread across conservative media social media, Owens asked: “Do you think it’s normal that basically, every person that speaks about Israel has to say a statement that ‘you know I don’t want to get killed’?”
She continued: “They shot JFK in an open car, he was a sitting president, so my security doesn’t matter, if they want me they’re gonna get me.”
Owens insisted that such thoughts are not “normal” and are uniquely tied to Israel, which she claimed has “taken over” the United States.
Fox News contributor Sarah Carter did not mince words in her response and issued a lengthy statement: “Sadly, something seems to have gone wrong with Candace, so that she is now engaging in and spreading the most vile & vicious Jew-hating conspiracy theories, some of them dating back to the depths of ignorance from the Middle Ages!”
Carter added: “I condemn Candace Owens, I condemn her disgraceful fall to espousing pure antisemitism, and I know there is no room in the conservative movement for an antisemite like Owens.”
The criticism didn’t stop there. Pro-Trump influencer Gad Saad, who had previously hosted Owens on his show, expressed disbelief at her conspiracy theorizing: “What happened to this woman? A few years ago, I hosted her on my show, and she seemed reasonable and composed.”
In reply conservative activist and journalist Christopher Rufo suggested Owens had fallen victim to “algorithm-chasing” on social media, noting that “antisemitism drives negative attention” in an uncensored environment. He lamented: “She fell into the trap and there is no way out.”
I think part of it is algorithm-chasing. Paradoxically, when there was censorship on Twitter, she knew how to be provocative and stay within the edge. Now, the boundaries are gone and antisemitism drives negative attention. She fell into the trap and there is no way out.

Owens, who was fired from the conservative media outlet The Daily Wire, has seen her rhetoric grow increasingly extreme over the past year. Daily Wire founder Ben Shapiro labeled her behavior “disgraceful” after she endorsed a tweet about Jews drinking Christians’ blood and condemned Israel following the October 7th Hamas attacks.
On Thursday, during an interview with influencer Tristan Tate for her own show online Candace, she falsely claimed that Joseph Stalin was Jewish and that Sigmund Freud was a “Kabbalistic pedophile.”
