Ron Johnson has mysteries of Kennedy, Nixon and Trump solved. It’s the deep state’s fault.

Once again we get to read about the upside down reality of Sen. Ron Johnson (“Johnson floats fringe shooting conspiracy,” Sept. 9).

The federal government, which Johnson is a high-level official in, seems to have figured out all of the mysteries of the last 60 years — Kennedy, Nixon and now Trump. Of course, the mastermind in all of these is the gigantic bureaucracy that is our federal government.

Johnson’s new favorite words appear to be “coup” and the boogeyman “deep state.” If, as he states, “…there’s a reason you call it the deep state. It’s very deep. It’s very pervasive.” You’d think he’d have a little proof. He somehow thinks, without having any proof, except perhaps what he and his staff read on the Internet, that he has it all figured out.

People like Johnson need to realize that sometimes bad things happen, and it isn’t always a giant, involved conspiracy. That one person does have the ability to do something terrible all on their own, such as buy a gun, make a plan and shoot someone. As people, we need explanations to history changing events, and it’s as if we think it lessens the persons greatness, or legacy, if it is just some fractured person acting all on their own.
