Letter to the Editor | Longview councilmember’s anti-fluoride agenda is rooted in conspiracy theories
Here we go again.
Our uninformed, conspiracy theorist City Council is pushing anti-fluoride for the uneducated.
First, the final decision on the matter is slated for late March, which I believe is in violation of the 90-day requirement from the date of first notification.
Data shows two-thirds of third graders in low fluoride states have tooth decay. Communities that have fluoridation have 25% fewer cavities. The CDC estimates the annual savings for dental treatment in the U.S. is $6.5 billion per year with the use of fluoride.
Gee, that sure sounds like we should remove fluoride from our water.
