Trump has made retweeting QAnon linked accounts a “daily habit” in recent days, according to Travis View, a conspiracy theory researcher and co-host of “QAnon-anonymous.”
On Tuesday, Trump retweeted messages about debunked voter fraud claims from “Major Patriot,” one of the most prominent QAnon accounts, three times, helping to boost its credibility and following, and has amplified others as well.
Greene tweeted a picture of a meeting with Trump in the Oval Office on Tuesday, even as Republicans debate her role in Congress (Greene has attempted to distance herself from the conspiracy theory since rising in stature, but she has not disavowed it.)
Trump has repeatedly refused to disavow QAnon when asked, and even praised the conspiracy theory’s supporters during an August press conference saying, “I heard that these are people that love our country.”
