US military and intelligence officials ‘set to release UFO evidence’ in 2026

Mounting speculation from insiders suggests whistleblowers, political pressures and new laws are pointing towards a major reveal about what the US government knows about UFOs

Growing speculation from those in the know hints that America might finally unveil authentic UFO evidence come 2026.

Reports this week suggest that fresh whistleblower threats, mounting political pressure, and new legislation are all converging towards a major revelation about how the White House has been storing information on extraterrestrial craft.

Experts speaking to the Daily Mail indicate that the sheer volume of military and intelligence personnel prepared to speak openly has reached a tipping point where maintaining secrecy could prove impossible.

The prospect regained momentum following November 2025’s release of The Age of Disclosure, a documentary showcasing 34 present and former US government, military and intelligence personnel – including Marco Rubio – suggesting a multi-decade concealment operation.

The film thrust the matter straight onto President Donald Trump’s priority list, according to director Dan Farah, whilst bolstering the leader’s enduring pledge to declassify all government-held data on mysterious airborne activities and phenomena, reports the Mirror US.

Meanwhile, in Congress, the fiscal year 2026 National Defense Authorization Act has demanded full disclosure of all UAP incidents stretching back to 2004 – mandating an investigation into whether crucial evidence has been excessively classified or intentionally withheld from parliamentarians.

Filmmaker Mark Christopher Lee, renowned for his extraterrestrial-focused work, revealed to the Daily Mail that 2026 is particularly significant due to “escalating congressional momentum, whistleblower activity, and cultural shifts that are building unstoppable pressure on government secrecy.”

Lee explained that “the fiscal year 2026 National Defense Authorization Act includes key provisions mandating the Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office to brief Congress on UAP intercepts since 2004, review over-classification of related data, and streamline reporting,”.

According to Lee, whether crucial information surfaces depends on political will: “With ongoing efforts like the proposed UAP Disclosure Act amendments and whistleblowers such as David Grusch continuing to advise congressional caucuses into 2026, the legislative push is intensifying.”

Grusch, a former US Air Force intelligence officer, has alleged the existence of covert programmes designed to retrieve and reverse-engineer downed UFOs.

In The Age of Disclosure, Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed: “We’ve had repeated instances of something operating in the airspace over restricted nuclear facilities – and it’s not ours.”

He further stated that presidents have “been operating on a need-to-know basis” regarding such incidents.

The possible ramifications of such earth-shattering revelations are being examined internationally – with former Bank of England analyst Helen McCaw warning The Times that this fresh intelligence could trigger economic turmoil.

“The United States government appears to be partway through a multi-year process to declassify and disclose information on the existence of a technologically advanced non-human intelligence responsible for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs),” she penned.

“We may have to acknowledge the existence of a power or intelligence greater than any government.”

McCaw cautioned that “UAP disclosure is likely to induce ontological shock. There might be extreme price volatility in financial markets due to catastrophising or euphoria.”
