Alex Jones Says Melania 'Breaking With Trump' After Epstein Statement
Alex Jones has said that first lady Melania Trump is breaking with President Donald Trump after her surprise statement on Thursday denying ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
“Trump’s own wife came out in an unannounced press conference today and said the Epstein crimes are real and that she wants the victims to be in front of Congress and the coverup to end, that’s the opposite of what Trump is saying,” Jones, a political commentator and conspiracy theorist who was among conservatives calling for Trump’s removal from office over his threats to Iran, said in a video posted on X.
“It looks to me like she’s breaking with Trump because she knows the ship is sinking, has found out the truth.”
In a televised message on Thursday, Melania Trump called on Congress to hold a public hearing centered on survivors of Epstein’s crimes.
It came as the president and his administration had finally seemed to move past more than a year of controversy surrounding Epstein, a convicted sex offender who leveraged connections to the rich, powerful and famous to recruit his victims and cover up his crimes. Her comments will almost certainly serve to push the story back into the political spotlight even as the president urged the public and media to move on from the case.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
