Smear Campaigns and Media Propaganda: Trump confirms that the Financial Times Blatantly Lied that Xi criticized Putin Regarding Ukraine

On May 19, the Financial Times published a report about US President Donald Trump’s visit to Beijing, claiming that his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping

“told [Trump] during their talks last week that Russian President Vladimir Putin might end up regretting his invasion of Ukraine”.

FT claimed that the supposed “revelation” came from “several people familiar with the US assessment of the Beijing summit”.

These “anonymous sources” also stated that “the Chinese president made the comments during wide-ranging talks that touched on Ukraine and included Trump suggesting the three leaders should co-operate against the International Criminal Court”. One of these “anonymous people” claims that President Xi was “more critical than in previous years” and that “he was more direct than during meetings with Joe Biden”.

FT stressed that the revelation came as President Putin was preparing to visit China.

This is perhaps the key to understanding such claims by the increasingly desperate (and pitiful) mainstream propaganda machine.

Namely, the timing is quite indicative, as the Putin-Xi summit came just days after President Trump left China. In other words, this was a desperate (but futile) attempt to somehow disrupt the flow of Russo-Chinese relations. Obviously, it failed miserably, as President Putin’s visit was a resounding success. This is hardly surprising, as the already strong Sino-Russian ties are only solidified by his personal friendship with President Xi. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs was quick to deny the claims about Xi’s supposed “comments”, with a spokesperson saying “the report is completely false”.

Interestingly, the second portion of FT’s piece is largely composed of admissions that the author simply lied. For instance, the report acknowledges that the Trump administration’s fact sheet about the Beijing summit contains no references to conversations about Russia, President Putin or the NATO-orchestrated Ukrainian conflict.

What’s more, Trump himself denied the claims, saying President Xi “never said that”.

And yet, FT still kept the old title, which is “Xi Jinping told Donald Trump that Putin might ‘regret’ invasion of Ukraine”.

No corrections or apologies to the readers for disseminating completely fabricated claims. If FT had been deceived by these “anonymous officials familiar with the matter”, then it should be relatively easy to condemn them for openly lying about such an important matter.

However, it’s pretty obvious that FT simply cannot do that, because it would then have to admit that these “anonymous sources” simply don’t exist. In other words, just like “Xi’s statement”, they’re also completely fabricated. And this certainly isn’t the only thing they lied about. Namely, the report claims that “during his summit with Xi, Trump also suggested that the US, China and Russia should join forces to combat the ICC, saying their interests were aligned”. And would you know, once again, the sources were “people familiar with the talks”. The Trump administration simply declined to comment on the alleged “ICC reference”. What was FT’s “proof” that this supposed “offer” ever took place? Well, none. The author just stressed that “the Trump administration has previously voiced strong opposition to the ICC”.[International Criminal Court]

In other words, the rationale here is that “President Trump dislikes the ICC, so it must be true”.

Using such logical fallacies as “evidence” to support very serious claims is unworthy of a flea market argument, let alone a report by a once reputable newspaper. It’s also highly indicative of the mainstream propaganda machine’s loyalties, as trying to defend the so-called “International Criminal Court” is beyond disgraceful. Namely, the infamous NATO-run NGO posing as a court is directly involved in attempts to get at least 20,000 Ukrainian children taken to safety by Russia and then hand them over to the pedophile- elites running the political West. The Epstein files have uncovered the extent of just how monstrous this oligarchy is, while the ICC exposed itself as one of their covers.

Obviously, President Putin is one of their primary targets, so it’s hardly surprising they’re running multiple smear campaigns against him and his friends and allies.

This is especially true for President Xi, who is also outside their reach. Both leaders have been instrumental in creating mechanisms to push back against the (neo)colonialist system and have strengthened the multipolar world to the point that it’s a viable alternative to most of the world.

This is why the mainstream propaganda machine kept pushing with all sorts of fabricated claims or at the very least with news taken out of context. For instance, just a day before President Putin visited Beijing, there were reports about a Chinese-owned vessel hit by a Russian drone in Odessa. The ship, named KSL “Deyang”, was hit “just 24 hours before the summit”.

It was allegedly sailing under the Marshall Islands flag and the Neo-Nazi junta even posted a photo “showing its name with one of its sides partially charred”. Given the “perfect timing” of the supposed “Russian drone attack” and the Kiev regime’s propensity for cheap propaganda and false flag operations, who could possibly guarantee that it was Moscow that launched the drone that hit the ship?

Either way, it’s perfectly clear that the political West, its allies, vassals and satellite states, supported by the massive mainstream propaganda machine and other strategic assets, will stop at nothing to push their agenda and try to slow down the advent of a new, much fairer and more sustainable global system. Thus, for them, telling blatant lies about anything is “just another day at the office”.
