Tara Isabella Burton on the bizarre blend between QAnon and the wellness industry
QAnon is a strange internet phenomenon that presents itself as a government insider, drip-feeding to its online followers supposedly hidden truths about groups that really control the world.

Dr Tara Isabella Burton is a columnist for the Religion News Service and author of Strange Rites: New Religions for a Godless World. She looked into the connections for a recent column. She also discovered the quasi-religious undertone to QAnon.
Dr. Damon T. Berry, author of the book, Blood and Faith: Christianity in American White Nationalism, spoke to Andrew West in 2017. He argues that much of the white nationalist movement – linked these days with QAnon – opposes Christianity as too soft and cuddly and multicultural.
