Why do people believe Covid conspiracy theories?

As the Covid vaccine is steadily rolled out around the world – and with it, the hope of some kind of return to normality – there’s also a surge in disinformation, conspiracy theories and fake news.

Governments and the World Health Organisation are making a huge effort to tackle it – and putting pressure on social media platforms to take down false content more quickly.
