ELECTION INTERFERENCE: NBC News Strafes Trump In Campaign Roundup

As the election approaches, the attacks on former President Trump continue to intensify. Attacks, to be clear, not from the Harris campaign but from the Regime Media. Consider, for example, NBC’s most recent campaign roundup.

Compare this sequence with the pillow-soft reporting accorded to Vice President Kamala Harris (click “expand” for transcript):

GARRETT HAAKE: It all comes after Trump campaigned in battleground Pennsylvania.

DONALD TRUMP: If we win Pennsylvania we win the whole damn thing. Right?

HAAKE: But raising eyebrows with this lewd digression about Arnold Palmer, spending 12 minutes talking about the golf legend in his hometown of Latrobe.

TRUMP: When he took showers with the other pros, they came out of there, they said, “Oh, my god. That’s unbelievable.” I had to say it.

HAAKE: Trump also holding a photo op at a Philly-area McDonald’s, working the drive-thru window to prescreened customers.

TRUMP: We love you. Thank you very much.

HAAKE: And scooping out French fries.

TRUMP: We’ve got the salt on it.

HAAKE: Saying he doesn’t believe the vice president worked at McDonald’s for a summer in college. Harris responding today.

HAAKE: Madam Vice President, did you work at a McDonald’s?

KAMALA HARRIS: Did I? I did.

HAAKE: All while Trump supporter billionaire Elon Musk, campaigning for Trump in Pennsylvania, is drawing scrutiny for saying he’ll offer a million dollars to one random registered voter every day if they’ve signed his petition in favor of free speech and the right to bear arms.

ELON MUSK: If you already believe in the Constitution, you’re just signing something you already believe and you can win a million dollars. That’s awesome.

HAAKE: Pennsylvania’s Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro firing back.

JOSH SHAPIRO: I think it’s something that law enforcement can take a look at.

Correspondent Garrett Haake just flitted from one non-controversy to another, reporting on the Trump campaign’s past weekend’s events in the most unfavorable light. The Regime Media continue to seethe about Trump’s Arnold Palmer story, his McDonald’s workday, and continue to attempt to trigger retaliatory lawfare against Elon Musk’s PAC.

It is a small miracle that Haake didn’t try to tout indictments from 2 years ago. There is almost no rhyme or reason to this filing, seemingly, except to attempt to cram as much Trump-negative information as possible into the record.

Given the tone of tonight’s reporting, one wonders whether the Regime Media took a look at some internal Harris polling and took it upon themselves to clean up.

GARRETT HAAKE: Tonight former President Trump played defense in North Carolina. He’s won the state twice before, but polls now show a coin flip contest.

DONALD TRUMP: I will end inflation. I will stop the invasion. And I will bring back the American Dream.

HAAKE: Neither Trump nor the RNC Chairman saying today they’d seen any indication this election won’t be legitimate.

TRUMP: We’re so impressed. And I think they have a pretty good system here.

HAAKE: But just hours later, Trump still suggesting without evidence the election could be tainted by fraud.

TRUMP: The vote counter is more important than the candidate. That’s been true, unfortunately.

HAAKE: Trump also visited Asheville, hard hit by Hurricane Helene, where he was pressed about his false claims about the FEMA response and threats FEMA workers have received.

TRUMP: Well, I think you have to let people know how they’re doing. If they’re doing a poor job we’re supposed to not say it?

HAAKE: It all comes after Trump campaigned in battleground Pennsylvania.

TRUMP: If we win Pennsylvania we win the whole damn thing. Right?

HAAKE: But raising eyebrows with this lewd digression about Arnold Palmer, spending 12 minutes talking about the golf legend in his hometown of Latrobe.

LESTER HOLT: Garrett, former President Trump now making another appearance there in North Carolina tomorrow.

HAAKE: That’s right, Lester. Trump exudes confidence at these rallies and regularly says he’s winning everywhere, but he also just canceled a planned speech in Georgia to stand up another rally here in North Carolina tomorrow, a state no Democrat has won since 2008. Lester.

HOLT: All right, Garrett Haake. Thank you.

Judge engages in election interference by allowing Jack Smith docs release, Trump campaign says: ‘Case is a sham’

On Thursday, United States District Judge Tanya Chutkan rejected a request from former President Donald Trump’s legal team to delay special counsel Jack Smith’s public release of additional documents pertaining to a federal case against the Republican presidential nominee, claiming he attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

In the defense’s request to delay, Trump’s lawyers stated that releasing the prosecution’s alleged evidence just weeks before the presidential election and amid “early voting creates a concerning appearance of election interference.”

‘Radical Democrats are hell-bent on interfering in the presidential election on behalf of Lyin’ Kamala Harris.’

However, according to Chutkan, withholding the release of documents to the public would have amounted to “election interference.”

“There is undoubtedly a public interest in courts not inserting themselves into elections, or appearing to do so,” Chutkan stated. “But litigation’s incidental effects on politics are not the same as a court’s intentional interference with them. As a result, it is in fact Defendant’s requested relief that risks undermining that public interest: If the court withheld information that the public otherwise had a right to access solely because of the potential political consequences of releasing it, that withholding could itself constitute — or appear to be — election interference.”

Hundreds of pages of documents from Smith’s investigation were released on Friday.

A second federal case lodged against Trump was tossed in July by Judge Aileen Cannon of the U.S. District Court for the District of Southern Florida after she concluded with the defense that Smith’s appointment as special counsel was “unlawful” because it circumvented Congress.

Cannon’s decision came just weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court found that Trump does have some presidential immunity for actions taken in his official capacity.

Since then, Smith has been desperately grasping at straws to keep the federal election case alive and revive the classified documents case dismissed by Cannon.

Trump’s team has repeatedly called all the cases filed against him — including Smith’s federal prosecutions, the New York criminal case, and the Georgia case — a sham and a witch hunt.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung told Fox News Digital on Friday, “Radical Democrats are hell-bent on interfering in the presidential election on behalf of Lyin’ Kamala Harris.”

“With just over two weeks until Election Day, President Trump is dominating this race, and crazed liberals throughout the Deep State are freaking out,” Cheung continued. “As mandated by the Supreme Court’s historic decision on presidential Immunity and other vital jurisprudence, this entire case is a sham and a partisan, unconstitutional witch hunt that should be dismissed entirely — as should all of the remaining Democrat hoaxes.”

Much of the material unsealed to the public on Friday was previously released in other forms or already publicly available information, Fox News Digital reported. Most of the alleged evidence compiled by the special counsel remains sealed.

Donald Trump’s denial of the 2020 US presidential election result has shaped his 2024 campaign. Will he accept a loss this time?

Denial of the 2020 election result has factored heavily into Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign for the presidency. In a frequent cry at his political rallies he implores his supporters to make the result this November “too big to rig” — the implication being that the slim 2020 loss in key swing states was the result of fraud.
