Forget the little yellow man in my head, here’s why I haven’t gotten THE SHOT
Without fail, when I am around people I am asked THE BIG QUESTION.
“Didja get your shot yet?”
When I answer, “No, not yet” I get a blank look and then a long, detailed story about that person’s own experience getting THE SHOT.
Of course, this is only when I am around people who actually believe the virus is real and that the vaccines are safe. Those who don’t believe offer an even more detailed explanation of why they won’t be getting THE SHOT.
Those explanations usually contain some variation of the Bill Gates/George Soros mind-control, chip-implant, 5G-spreading theories that abound.
I politely nod my head and figuratively staple my lips shut.
So why haven’t I gotten a shot?
The Golden Rule.
No. Not that one, the Biblical Golden Rule that is nice in theory but has repeatedly shown to be impossible to follow.
I mean the REAL Golden Rule: He/She/It who has the most gold, rules.
Money. It’s all about the money.
As a journalist, I was taught to always “Follow the money.”
That’s where the real story is and time after time throughout history that has proven to be the case.
Real reporters, real newspapers and media don’t waste time chasing ridiculous conspiracy theories. In the end, it almost always turns out to be about the money.
Corruption and graft.
Money means power.
Power to control. Power to rule the world.
How does this pertain to the COVID vaccine?
On Tuesday, the New York Times (Don’t even roll your eyes) published a story titled “U.S. Bet Big on Covid Vaccine Manufacturer Even as Problems Mounted.”
It’s a long, complicated article. Read it.
In essence, the story explains how Emergent BioSolutions of Baltimore was given a lucrative government contract in 2012 to expand and retrofit its operations so it can be prepared if and when a major pandemic struck.
The contract required Emergent to be able to produce 50 million doses within four months of an influenza pandemic.
The company repeatedly failed on its promises, despite hundreds of milions of dollars funneled to it.
And when a pandemic — COVID — actually did strike, Emergent became the main manufacturer, “churning out about 150 million doses as of last week,” the Times reported.
The problem?
Not a single dose has been usable because of fear of contamination. The article details the quality control problems, mold infestations, cross-contamination and the many, many shortcuts the company took in an effort to meet requirements.
This is where the truth lies. Not in some conspiracy theory about mind implants or tracking devices or little yellow men in your head.
No one cares about that. They care about money. The rest is a diversion. A shroud.
You want conspiracy theories? Here you go: Lucrative government contracts lining the pockets of the already vastly wealthy CEOs and Big Pharm.
This is not FAKE NEWS.
Even when Emergent’s shortcomings were pointed out, the company failed to act, according to the Times article.
Why? It would cost too much money to fix.

That is why I am hesitant to get THE SHOT.
And that is a real problem for America and the world.
Forget the weirdos who fear the vaccine is Bill Gates’ effort to control us.
This is a real fear and one that is proving to be a setback in the real efforts to produce reliable, safe vaccines and end the pandemic. It’s frustrating.
At a time when the entire world should be working as one to produce and distribute safe vaccines, we are still mired in greed and corruption and unnecessary competition.
And that is why I have not gotten THE SHOT.
