VIDEO: Strange lights seen in New Years Eve sky in Fresno. UFOs or planes? | KMPH

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A group of friends were enjoying a fun New Years Eve night in Fresno when they suddenly spotted seven strange lights travelling across the sky.

The videos sent in were taken around 11:45 p.m. near Cedar and McKinley Avenues.

In one of the videos you can see a woman turning away as she is being filmed, only to notice a pair of lights in the sky.

The camera pans over to the sky to show the two lights just as another pops into view trailing behind, before they all seem to make a triangle formation.

After about a minute, the person recording then notices two more bright lights travelling close together side-by-side.

Then to their surprise, two more come into view and travel in the same direction.

I was immediately under the impression I was seeing the Starlink satellites which was mind blowing to me, but after seeing them “separate” we weren’t so sure.

Noemi N. said they were all left stumped as they tried to make sense of what they were seeing, throwing out any explanation they could think of.

Possibilities ranged from Chinese lanterns, flares, airplanes, space debris, military, and of course UFO’s.

The woman says the lights were too bright and far out too by lanterns, and that they live by an airport and could tell they weren’t airplanes.

By the end they still could not explain what they had witnessed.

We were left drunk and stumped.
