Turning the Tide 2026: 9/11 — 25 Years Later

Twenty-five years after September 11, organizations and individuals who have spent decades investigating the attacks, advocating for family members, preserving records, and challenging official accounts will gather in New York City for four days of presentations, testimony, remembrance, and discussion.

Turning the Tide: 9/11 — 25 Years Later will take place September 10–13, 2026, in New York City and online, bringing together family members, first responders, researchers, journalists, attorneys, filmmakers, and longtime advocates from across the 9/11 research community.

The conference comes at a significant moment. A quarter century after the attacks, many of the central questions surrounding September 11 remain the subject of continued research, litigation, archival recovery, and public debate. At the same time, an enormous historical record has accumulated: government documents, commission records, testimony, interviews, investigative reporting, declassified material, and the work of independent researchers and family members.

The anniversary offers an opportunity not only to revisit unresolved questions, but also to preserve the history of the people who pursued them.

911Truth.org will participate in this year’s conference.

Coordinator and early member Mike Berger will speak Saturday on the history of the 9/11 Truth movement and the family members, researchers, journalists, whistleblowers, and activists who sustained it—often at substantial personal cost.

In the years immediately following September 11, questioning official accounts could carry serious consequences. People lost professional standing, friendships, and in some cases support from their own families and communities. Yet many continued to document the record, organize public events, pursue government records, preserve testimony, and press for further investigation.

The presentation will look back at that history while also examining the work now underway to preserve it and make the surviving record accessible to a new generation.

A Week of 25th Anniversary Events

Turning the Tide follows the 22nd Annual 9/11 Truth Film Festival in Oakland on September 8, organized by the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance.

Taken together, the two events reflect the breadth and persistence of a movement that has continued for twenty-five years across different organizations, cities, and generations.

The New York conference will include multiple days of presentations, panel discussions, films, and opportunities for attendees to meet researchers and advocates whose work has shaped the public record of September 11.
