Fauci wasn’t the only government official involved in the COVID lab leak cover-up
In fact, Fauci was initially open to the idea of investigating the possibility of a lab leak, but was stopped by powers above him who redirected the investigation away from the concept.
Former Wellcome Trust Director Jeremy Farrar and former National Institutes of Health (NIH) Francis Collins were the ones tasked with contacting the World Health Organization (WHO) to set up the international investigation. Fauci told numerous government officials about this at the time, claiming that those involved had “no judgment at all” concerning the investigation’s outcome.
“Where that leads remains to be seen,” Fauci said in an email, possibly to cover for himself. But was it also possibly because he actually believed it would be a neutral investigation? This is up for you to decide.
Fauci essentially presented the matter before his colleagues as an unresolved scientific argument, even stating that a number of scientists favored the lab leak theory.
(Related: Do not forget that Fauci lied under oath, as did the “scientists” covering for him, about the COVID lab leak conspiracy.)
The WHO’s COVID “investigation” was rigged from the start
We all now know, however, that the outcome of the WHO investigation – if you can even call it an investigation – reiterated the government’s false claim that the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) came from bat soup at a Chinese wet market in Wuhan.
As all this was happening, Collins contacted WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to tell him that Farrar was “coming around to the view that a natural origin is more likely,” though the WHO would be the one to make a final determination.
Collins book-ended his communications with Tedros with a push for the WHO to produce “confidence-inspiring” results that preempt “voices of conspiracy” that would otherwise do “great potential harm to science and international harmony.” In other words, Collins expected a predetermined outcome that supported the natural origin theory over the lab leak theory – regardless of what WHO investigators actually uncovered in their investigation.
“This does suggest a non-neutral political agenda being pursued, much more so than Fauci’s email of the day before, an agenda apparently being driven by Farrar,” reported The Daily Sceptic.
It is important to note that the impartial investigation Fauci initially proposed never actually happened. Instead, just two days after proposing it, the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM) convened to redirect the investigation away from finding the truth.
Andrew Pope, an NASEM official, indicated at this meeting that “plans have changed” and that instead of an investigation “based on science,” there would instead be a faux investigation with merely the trappings of a real one.
“It appears that this change was what was agreed at the teleconference, though that is not completely clear as the email doesn’t specify who the ‘we’ are who now think the original plan is not ‘appropriate,'” the Sceptic further reported.
“What makes it likely it was agreed at the teleconference is that the email does not seem to expect anyone to object to the change and assumes all are on board with the new proposal.”
The NASEM tried to claim that its redirected efforts were backed by “relevant scientific specialists” who determined that the available genomic data were “consistent with natural evolution,” adding that there is “no evidence” that COVID was engineered in a lab.
“Despite all the effort that has gone into investigating COVID origins, this key question remains outstanding. Who ordered the cover-up?”
