Did 163 Democrats use same Oklahoma address to vote for Biden in 2020? There’s no proof
One hundred sixty-three votes for then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden in 2020 all came from one house in Oklahoma.
- A meme alleges 163 Democratic Party votes for former U.S. President Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory all came from the same Oklahoma address — a home displayed in the meme’s image.
- A reverse-image search found the pictured house in the rural town of Stratford, Oklahoma.
- Via email, Oklahoma State Election Board spokesperson Misha Mohr told Snopes the rumor was false. Citing electronic records, she said that the one voter at the address registered as a Republican and did not vote in the 2020 election. She also clarified that there’s no way to tie a voter to any particular ballot, unless that voter chooses to share that information.

Since at least February, people have shared a meme alleging that 163 Democratic Party votes for former U.S. President Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory all came from the same Oklahoma address.
The rumor touched on President Donald Trump’s long-standing false claims that fraud plagued the 2020 election in battleground states. In 2021, The Associated Press investigated all of Trump’s claims in six key states and found nowhere near the amount of fraud needed for Trump to have won.
In an email, a Snopes reader shared the meme, which featured an image of a modest single-level home in a rural-looking setting with a one-car garage and what appears to be a twin-size mattress leaning against the wall on the front porch.
The meme read, “Why do we need voter ID? Because in the 2020 election, 163 Democrats used this one address to cast a vote for Joe Biden.” The reader asked, “Any truth to this?”
A reverse-image search found other people sharing the same meme both in Facebook posts (archived) and comments (archived), as well as on LinkedIn (archived), Reddit (archived), Threads (archived) and X (archived).

This rumor was false. Via email, Oklahoma State Election Board spokesperson Misha Mohr provided credible information and said the claim was false.
Upon checking electronic records, Mohr told us that the pictured house, which we found is at 401 N. Sycamore St. in the rural town of Stratford, Oklahoma, had only one person registered to vote — as a Republican — as well as that that voter did not vote in the 2020 election.
She said, “There is no way to tie a voter to any particular ballot. How a voter casts his/her ballot is known only to that voter, unless that voter chooses to share that information.”
Additionally, Mohr said she checked with an official who served during the 2020 election as assistant secretary of the Garvin County Election Board, which oversees Stratford. She told us, “To the best of her knowledge, there were no reports of potential irregularities related to 401 Sycamore in 2020.”
Researching the meme and finding the house
Searches of Bing, DuckDuckGo, Google and Yahoo found no news media outlets or political blogs reporting about 163 votes being cast for Biden using the address of the home pictured in the meme. That complete lack of reporting included conservative blogs, which would widely report on such a purported Democratic Party election fraud attempt — had it actually happened. Our searches also failed to locate evidence of users promoting the rumor prior to this year, more than five years after the 2020 election concluded.
We performed a reverse-image search to find the house shown in the meme. That search found real estate listings displaying a similar photo of the same house, for example on Realtor.com. The listings featured the address 401 N. Sycamore in Stratford, in Garvin County. The home also appeared in Google Maps Street View.
Trump secured more votes than Biden in every county in Oklahoma in the 2020 election, defeating Biden by a margin of more than 2-to-1. Trump also earned more than 81% of the vote in Garvin County.
